We also think it is important that you know how we are doing as a school. Here are our results for Key stage 1 and 2 for 2017/18
52% of our Reception children achieved a good level of development in 2017/8. the national figure for 2015/16 was 71%
Year 1 Phonics
In year 1 children are assessed in their phonic reading skills.
77% of our children achieved the expected level, the national figure for this in 2018 was (80%)
Year 2 (key Stage 1)
In Year 2 children are assessed in Reading Writing and Maths. This is done in the form of teacher assessment that is moderated against other schools. Children are expected to achieve ARE, GD is above expected attainment.

Year 6 (Key Stage 2)
In Year 6 children are assessed in Reading, Writing, Grammar and Maths. This is done in the form of national tests that are marked externally, except for writing which is teacher assessed and is moderated against other schools. Children are expected to achieve ARE by the time they leave year 6. GD is above expected attainment.
