EYFS
63% of pupils achieved a Good Level of Development (GLD) in 2021/22. This is an increase of 15% on previous results.
Year 1 Phonics Check
82% of pupils achieved the expected level in Phonics this is in line with National scores and our best result building on improvement in the last two years .
End of KS1 Results
Ks1 SATs were carried out for the first time since 2019 this year. In East Whitby our results were moderated by the Local Authority

KS2 Results
Children completed SATS Tests in 2021/22 for the first time since 2019. Our pupils achievement was in line with National figures in Reading and Maths and slightly below on Writing .

In 2020 due to the COVID pandemic statutory assessment was not carried out in primary schools, we did however make predictions for assessment of pupils in 2020

EYFS
We predicted 54% of our Reception children would have achieved a good level of development in 2019/20. the national figure for 2018/19 was 74%
Year 1 Phonics
In year 1 children are assessed in their phonic reading skills.
We predicted that 78% of our children achieved the expected level, the national figure for this in 2019 was (82%)
Year 2 (key Stage 1)
In Year 2 children are assessed in Reading Writing and Maths. This is done in the form of teacher assessment that is moderated against other schools. Children are expected to achieve ARE, GD is above expected attainment.

Year 6 (Key Stage 2)
In Year 6 children are assessed in Reading, Writing, Grammar and Maths. This is done in the form of national tests that are marked externally, except for writing which is teacher assessed and is moderated against other schools. Children are expected to achieve ARE by the time they leave year 6. GD is above expected attainment.
