East Whitby After School Club
After School Club is a safe, well supervised environment offering board games, art and crafts, stories, music, computers, cooking and many other fun activities for children during out of school hours.
Children will receive a biscuit and a drink on arrival after being collected from their classroom by a staff member.
Adult support is available at all times should children require assistance or individual support. Activities will always be available but children will not be made to feel that they have to take part.
The children are encouraged to help with planning the activities and will always be encouraged to offer suggestions to enable them to feel part of the club. The After School Club may run themed fun sessions including ‘Make, Bake ‘n’ Take!’ These will celebrate special occasions such as Pancake Day, Easter and Christmas.
3.10 – 3.25pm – Serving a drink and biscuit
3.25 – 4.30pm - Free play session
Free play available –
Various board games and toys
Creative table - gives option to colour, sew or make things
Book corner - available for reading and chatting
ICT Suite or Laptops - Children are able to get support with homework or access TT Rockstars and English or Maths programmes
Role-play area with a dressing up box
Music box with a selection of instruments
4.30pm – 4.50pm - A snack is served such as beans/spaghetti on toast or noodles and a drink
This is a social occasion where all the children sit round a table and eat together. The older children help the staff to serve and clear away drinks and snack.
4.50pm – 5.15pm – Tidy up time followed by a group activity such as a story or singing game.
After School Club is £2.00 per half hour inclusive of drinks and snack. Telephone or pop into the school office to book a session for your child.
Please use the school car park entrance when collecting your child from After School Club.
East Whitby Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club is a safe, well supervised environment that provides children with a fun and enjoyable start to the school day!
The children sit together and have time to chat and share news in a friendly and calm atmosphere.
There is a choice of drinks – orange juice, apple juice, milk or water
A good selection of cereals is on offer for the children to choose from.
Hot porridge, toast, waffles and pancakes are available daily.
After breakfast the children are able to colour or play games together before being taken by a staff member to their classrooms to start their school day.
Breakfast Club starts at 8am with food being served until 8.30am. The cost is £2.00 and advanced bookings are not required.
Please bring your child to Breakfast Club through the main school entrance.
Breakfast and After School Clubs are open for all children from Nursery to Year 6.
