Elves - Year One

Welcome to Elves Class

Elf Class (Year 1) are taught by Mrs Waterfield and Mrs Foster. Our class is also supported Mrs Burley.

Over the year we are going to be delving into some exciting projects such as materials, plants, The Battle of Hastings and so much more…

Phonics and reading are a big part of what we do in our class. We want children to leave year one confident readers who love books. We follow the ‘Little Wandle’ scheme to teach the skills of reading. The children bring home a new reading book every week and are encouraged to borrow a book from our bedtime library to share at home with their family.
