Children and young people spend a lot of time online, it can be a great way for them to socialise, explore and have fun. But children also face risks such as seeing content that's inappropriate or cyberbullying. That's why it is important for them to know how to stay safe online.

Whether you're unsure about what happens online or are up to speed with new technology, it's important that you talk to your child about staying safe.

The guides provides specific tips to help you support your child to use their devices safely and responsibly.

Staying Safe on the Internet

We continue to have a few incidents outside of school with children mis-using social media or putting themselves in difficult positions. Equally, some children have been contacted by older people.

Is your child safe online? (Facebook, Instagram, Playstation Network, Xbox live, Snapchat and many more…)

Do you know what they are doing? If you don’t then you need to look at settings and you need to regularly monitor your children’s use of social media. Please ensure your children are safe.
